Well-trained specialists are one of the key factors for the region's continued positive development. The project “Wachstumsregion Dresden”, which started in 2014 as a return project for emigrants, has this in focus and has supported returnees, new citizens and those interested in living and working in the growth region ever since.
The aim of the project is to combine the advantages of the Dresden area with the “Dresden”-factor and to create an attractive working and living space.
With currently seven municipalities and a district as a cooperation partner, the project was able to develop steadily and build up an extensive project network. The Dresden growth region is supported by a project management, which is available as a central contact for cooperation partners, regional companies and interested parties. In addition to the municipal cooperation partners, Institutions such as the IHK, the Dresden University of Applied Sciences and the regional employment agencies are won as project partners. Regional and local companies, such as Frequency Elektro GmbH from Radeberg or Liofit GmbH from Kamenz, complete the list of supporters and fill the offer of the region with life. Due to the steadily growing network, the level of awareness of the "Wachstumsregion Dresden" is constantly increasing.
