Radeberg

The 800-year-old Radeberg with its districts Großerkmannsdorf, Liegau-Augustusbad and Ullersdorf is an attractive and dynamic city with about 18,800 inhabitants. Due to the convenient location to the state capital Dresden and the good connection to the road and rail network, the city is a popular business location and also popular as a place to live.

Radeberg has a long industrial tradition that is constantly being continued by strong, innovative companies. Numerous small and medium-sized companies, primarily from the automotive, bio-, medical technology and life science, electronics and electrical engineering, plastics and mechanical engineering sectors, as well as well-known food manufacturers have their roots and home in the city.

The social infrastructure with four elementary schools, two middle schools, a high school and one vocational and special school each as well as numerous day care centers is very good. Cultural institutions such as Klippenstein Castle and the city library enrich urban life.

Short paths also characterize the face of the city, where a lot of culture and lifestyle can be found. And it is full of history - starting from Klippenstein Castle and the market place to the Radeberg export beer brewery.

The "Beer-City" is for connoisseurs, no matter if culinary, nature-related or cultural. An highlight for the whole region ist the beer festival, that takes place every year in June. The first Saxon dialect theater offers refreshing entertainment of a completely different kind - the Radeberger "Biertheater" in the Hotel Kaiserhof.
